Pale, bright yellow. Very bright aromas of lemon, lime, crushed stone and clove, with a minty, menthol-like treble note. Then dense, fine-grained and quite suave in the mouth, with lovely limey minerality contributing to an impression of purity. The sucrosite of the year makes this rather easygoing today, but the finish boasts terrific aromatic lift and grip. This has turned out extremely well.

Rich and satisfyingly layered on the nose. Then a little powdery and disciplined on the palate. A genuinely interesting wine. (JR)

Musky aromas and flavors of fresh peach and spices are slightly suppressed today by SO2 Ripe and glyceral, with good richness and intensity of fruit but perhaps a bit less cut than the 2007 version. Today the wine's sugars and acids have not yet harmonized.
