Score 87+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2010
Bright pale yellow. Reduced nose hints at smoke and sulfides. Then fat and sweet but reduced, with slightly edgy acidity giving the finish a bitter edge. Hard to taste today and in need of at least a few years in bottle. Roulot racked this wine in August of 2009 without adding sulfur or exposing the wine to air as the malolactic fermentation had not yet finished.
