Tasting notes
The oak-scented, medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Musigny (domaine) offers a medium-bodied, tangy character. This floral, feminine, well-made, elegant wine displays sweet red cherry and raspberry flavors in its long, satin-textured character. It lacks the depth and power of Jadot's finest Musignys, yet is an outstanding, highly detailed, and delicious wine. Drink it between 2004 and 2012. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; tel. Highly perfumed nose combines raspberry, minerals, rose petal and blood orange. Compellingly silky in the mouth, with the suave, subtle flavors suffusing the palate and lingering long on the aftertaste. Tannins are lush and ripe.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
