Score 94/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Neal Martin, Oct 2020
The 1997 Musigny Grand Cru has a very attractive bouquet of red fruit, mint and a subtle ferrous tincture. This is much more expressive than expected. Medium-bodied with a fleshy opening and a gorgeous mouthfeel; the red fruit is tinged with Earl Grey. There is impressive density on the finish, and superb precision. I actually prefer this to the previous vintage. Tasted at the Drouhin Musigny vertical in London.
