Tasting notes
The 1994 Les Carmes Haut-Brion has a touch of cough candy on the nose. It feels a bit diffuse compared to the superior 2004. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins. It's quite austere, and the fruit has all but disappeared on the finish. Drink up! Tasted at the château.

The 1994 exhibits a medium to dark ruby color, a sweet, tobacco, smoky red fruit-scented nose, medium body, soft tannin, low acidity, and a ripe, round personality that easily slides down the gullet. It is a charming wine that should drink well for 7-8 years. Last tasted 3/96
