Score 90/100 · Robert Parker, Apr 1997

The 1993 Shiraz Eileen Hardy is a large-boned, broad-shouldered wine with a dark opaque garnet color. Full-bodied, with high flavor extraction, copious quantities of hickory smoked, blackberry, and cassis fruit, glycerin, and spice (pepper and American oak), and a lusty, full-bodied finish. The wine's tannin and acidity are sweet and well-integrated. This bold, full-flavored Shiraz is the finest Shiraz produced by this winery, thus it receives the Eileen Hardy designation. Importer: International Cellars, Chantilly, VA; no telephone listing available
