Score 91+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2010

Pure calcaire-driven stony nose. Then tactile and energetic in the mouth, with a touch of pliancy but quite different in texture than the creamier village wine. Finishes long and firm but not at all hard. This should age slowly and gracefully.

So sweet, floral and lively then dense and very rigorous with admirable spine. Racy with an edge of honey. There is so much here! Smoke and intensity. Great balance and persistence. (JR)
