(from vines on rocky, limestone-rich soil that can suffer in hot summers) Precise aromas of lemon and stone. Dense and sappy, with precise flavors of pineapple, grapefruit and dusty stone. There's nothing exotic about this silky wine, which is thick and chewy but light on its feet. Explosive on the minerally, vibrant, very long finish.
Cask sample. Quite rich and nutty. Pure pleasure! There’s quite a bit of structure here, so I don’t see that this will peak too soon. Very useful, I’d have thought! (JR)
Enticing aromas of orange, lemon and crushed stone. Fat, silky, rich and sweet, with lovely generosity of fruit flavor and texture. Characterized more by explosive fruit than by minerality. Slightly aggressive on the back end but not bitter.
