The 2009 Sauvignon Blanc gives classically intense grass and citrus peel aromas with some lemon/lime juice, white peach and orange blossom. Medium bodied, dry, crisp and pure in the mouth, the wine has a nice creaminess to the texture and a long slate-laced finish. Enjoy it now through 2012. No known USA importer.

Greywacke is made by Kevin Judd at Dog Point Winery from grapes sourced from mature vineyards in and around the Brancott Valley and the central Wairau Plains. Very clean, dry and mineral. Racy and juicy fruited. Good stuff. Just what you want really. (JR)
Pale, bright yellow. Restrained aromas of lemon drop, pineapple, grapefruit, lanolin and fresh herbs. Then round, broad and sweet in the mouth; began a bit loose-knit but tightened up with air, showing good restraint to its pineapple, grapefruit and spice flavors. Doesn't have quite the cut for outstanding but the persistent, satisfying finish dusts the palate with flavor. Made by Kevin Judd at Dog Point Winery.
