This is a seductive wine from an estate that normally produces wines much lighter in style. In 2010, the La Grave a Pomerol displays plenty of cherry cola notes intermixed with hints of plum sauce, Asian spices, and loamy soil undertones. It is medium-bodied, round, generous and ideal for drinking over the next decade.

Mid crimson. Low key, slightly opulent notes. Fresh and perfumed. Real floral vigour to this. Well mannered but far from fleshy. Just well balanced. (JR)

This is a delicious Pomerol with a spicy, very attractive nose. The flavours of blackberries, plums and cherries jump out of the glass. In the background there are hints of cacao and roasted spices. The palate is gentle and delicate and the massive tannins of 2010 have been well tamed in this wine. Fairly long length with good potential to age. asianpalate.com
