A vin de plaisir for sure, this dark plum/ruby-colored 2008 offers up aromas of herbs, raspberries and black cherries in a medium-bodied, pure, ripe style. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years.

A J P Moueix wine. Mid crimson. Sweet plus a mineral array on the nose. Lots of juicy sweetness on the front palate with some dried currants. Very polished indeed. Racy, sleek nose. Very dry finish. (JR)

Offers pretty fruit on the nose and palate, with raspberry and plum. Medium- to full-bodied, with firm tannins and a fresh finish. This has a solid core of fruit. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2009
