Lots of earthy cedar, tobacco, and chocolaty dark fruits emerge from the 2009 Blason D'Issan, the second wine of Château D'Issan. Medium-bodied and lively on the palate, with plenty of freshness, it's drinking nicely today yet should evolve for another 5-7 years in cold cellars.

Scented, herbaceous, quite light and lightly green on the nose then sweet and easy. Very Margaux. Bravo! But a fairly lissom thing. Slight leanness on the finish. They were initially worried by the high proportion (38%) of Merlot. (JR)
