Tasting notes
Good bright, full red. Captivating, nuanced nose offers cherry, raspberry, underbrush, loam and a hint of leather. Tangy and bracing, with penetrating acidity giving precision to the youthful, juicy pomegranate and mineral flavors. Really excellent energy and fruit intensity here. Finishes with firm tannins and noteworthy length. I'd give this five years.

Pavelot indicated that the yields for this wine in 2010 were only 20 hl/ha. A somber and very backward nose of dark berries, cassis, plum and wet stone introduces impressively rich, cool and pure flavors that brim with dry extract before concluding in a mouth coating, long, mineral-inflected and overtly austere finish. This robust yet refined effort will need the better part of a decade to arrive at its apogee as it's very tight and firm at present. *Sweet Spot, Outstanding*
