Tasting notes
Excellent deep crimson. Low-key but well balanced. Chewy start and quite a kick of serviceable tannins. Dry finish but not excessively so. (JR)

A strong effort from this property, which tends to produce solid, tannic, charmless wines, the 2000 exhibits more density, richness, and fruit than I have seen in recent vintages. Sweet black currant and cherry notes intermixed with balsa wood and soil nuances are interwoven into a medium-bodied wine with ripe tannin and excellent persistence. Anticipated maturity: now-2010.
