Tasting notes
The 1991 La Conseillante was only tasted on one occassion at the Chez Bruce vertical. The word that I used then was "monotonous – although still drinkable after 19 years of age". Talk about damning with faint praise. Drink any bottles you might find. Tasted blind and taken from Neal Martin's book, "Pomerol".

Looked very old with pale ruby edge. Lots of evolution. Healthy ruby. Quite old and fragile. Hanging on by its fingernails. But much much more youthful than one of the other wines so maybe... (JR)
La Conseillante's silky, soft, graceful style can be found in the light-bodied, delicate 1991. The medium ruby color is followed by a perfumed nose of toasty, smoky, new oak and raspberry fruit. Although the finish is short, there is some lovely fruit in the middle. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
