Tasting notes
Corino’s 2005 Barolo Vecchie Vigne (from old vines in Giachini) reveals terrific balance in a rich, weighty expression of dark fruit, spices, grilled herbs and sweet French oak. Powerful and long, the wine shows remarkable energy that never lets up. The finish is long, round and exceptionally refined. This is another hugely successful Barolo from proprietor Giuliano Corino. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. This is a wonderful set of new releases from proprietor Giuliano Corino, one of La Morra’s finest growers. Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate # 187.
