Vibrant ruby. Funky aromas of cherry pit, licorice and leather, with a strong, iron-like note of aged steak. Then vibrant and precise on the palate, with good precision and minerality to its smoky, intensely gamey dark fruit flavors. Emphatically old school, with an assertively meaty animal character that will no doubt turn plenty of people off. Finishes persistent and sweet, with noteworthy aromatic persistence. The question is whether or not you'll find those feral elements appealing.
