(this was bottled in April of 2005 due to a very late malo) Medium red. Reticent aroma of red berries. Silky, pliant and rich, with spicy red fruit flavors of noteworthy power. Finishes with somewhat aggressive tannins and some leathery rusticity, but there's also good lingering sweetness. Decant this if you plan to drink it soon, urges Lachaux.

Bright ruby-red. Black cherry, leather and spices on the nose. Tightly wound and impressively primary, with intense flavors of black fruits, dark chocolate and spices. Today the wine's very firm tannins shorten the fruit. Shows the harder side of this vintage, no doubt owing to the tiny grapes in this holding. Seems a tad dry.
