Tasting notes
Mid crimson. Warm currants on the nose – some of that old-fashioned fruitcake St Emilion character (most unusual nowadays!). Very furry tannins and quite marked acidity. Lively and bumptious. (JR)

Healthy deep crimson. Some evolution. Some slightly dubious wood on the nose. Ripe refreshing fruit but a bit lean too – surprisingly lean for this vintage. (JR)
Typical for this estate, the deep ruby/purple-colored 2000 is a fruit-driven effort offering notes of plums, cherries, saddle leather, tobacco, and earth. It possesses medium body, excellent depth, moderate tannin, and a velvety texture. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2012.
