Tasting notes
There is a mulchy note on the nose of the 2002 Perrieres: earthy with touches of wild mushroom and truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity. It is harmonious, but to be honest, not particularly complex especially when contrasted with more recent vintages. It offers more freshness than the 2003 although it retains fine tension after a decade. I would drink bottles now, although there are probably three or four more years of pleasure to be found. Drink now-2017. Tasted December 2012.
