Score 93/100 · Drink 2013-2025, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018
To show how a similar "solar" vintage has aged, Perret graciously opened a 2009 Saint Joseph les Grisieres, which appears to be in its peak drinking window. Cedar and roasted meat notes appear on the nose of this full-bodied, supple, creamy-textured wine. It still shows ample freshness and a long, lush finish, and it should continue to drink well through 2025.

Distinctively perfumed nose – mostly red fruit and a little floral. More solid on the palate, quite a grip and a bit more solid than I expected from the nose. Chewy but still has mouthwatering freshness. (JH)
