Tasting notes
The 2001 Chianti Classico Riserva Le Baroncole is, effectively speaking, the former Riserva, and is very fine in this vintage, ripe and spicy with a coconut-incense nose, a silky and elegant palate, and plenty of punch and vigor on the close. Drink: 2006-2014. Importer: A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300, Vin Divino, Chicago, IL; tel. (773) 334-6700, and Estate Wines, Ltd., San Rafael, CA; tel. (415) 492-9411
