Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2015

This is the second time that I have tasted this wine in under a year. This bottle of Musigny Vielles Vignes Blanc 1990 has a show-stopping nose that I remarked to Jean-Luc Pepin, is midway between a Sauternes and an Alsace SGN! So much candied fruit and marzipan mixed with clear honey and rosehip syrup! The palate has a sweet core of viscous fruit, a fine line of acidity and a personality that borders on Muscat. It delivers all this richness and then it slips you a bone-dry finish to quite astonishing effect. One of those one-off bottles I suspect–as much an experience as drinking pleasure.
