Score 89-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2010
(from the lower part of the cru) Peach flesh, vanilla and smoky, nutty oak on the rather reticent nose. Quite dry and backward, with good cut to the broad stone fruit and almond flower flavors. Saturates the palate, but the finish shows an almost tannic phenolic character and a strong repeating nutty element.
