Tasting notes
Revealing beguiling aromas of crushed red berries, flowers, and nuts, the flavorful Meursault Charmes is gorgeously focused. Waves of pears, honeysuckle, hazelnuts, and minerals can be found in its medium-to-full-bodied, silky-textured, and forward personality. Anticipated maturity: now-2005. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; (212) 490-9300.

Bright nose features ripe citrus notes, hay and acacia flower. Concentrated, intensely flavored and nicely delineated; intriguing note of blond tobacco. Rather slow to unfold. Keeps its shape on the persistent finish.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
