Score 88/100 · Drink 2023-2028, Neal Martin, Nov 2023

The 2007 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru comes across as a little muffled on the nose, with some SO2 shrouding the aromatics. The palate is sweet and slightly honeyed on the entry, fleshy but lacking some tension, with white mushrooms tincturing the finish. Bottles should be drunk in the near future. Tasted at the Meursault dinner in Hong Kong.

Racy, tingly, rather exotic and rich but with lots of acidity. Well done! (JR)
