Tasting notes
Wonderfully expressed Cabernet Sauvignon aromas, superb texture, a powerful wine that is still elegant, great future and probably the best ever from this understated château. Drink 2017-30. (17.5 points). Steven Spurrier, decanter.com

Very ripe, but with superfresh acidity to keep the lush plum, raspberry and black currant notes fresh, while melted licorice and a long, violet-filled finish come in behind. —J.M. James Molseworth, winespectator.com
Very dark crimson. Fresh, zesty and meaty with great energy. Though not as dense as many of its peers, with pretty marked acidity. Pretty but just a bit green on the finish. jancisrobinson.com
An opaque blue/purple color is accompanied by impressively sweet floral notes intermixed with black currant and blackberry fruit. Medium to full-bodied with high but round tannins, the 2010 Boyd-Cantenac is exceptionally well-endowed, textured and pure. This under-the-radar estate (a classified growth in the famous 1855 rankings) never seems to catch the attention of consumers. It deserves better. Enjoy the 2010 for 25 or more years.
