Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2011-2020, Jancis Robinson MW, Aug 2007

Fresh but rather simple raw fruit – aggressive at present. Should mellow eventually but possibly not quite soon enough for BA’s purposes. (JR)

An exceptionally successful vintage for this property. Pretty, deep crimson. Rich nose redolent of treacle. Smooth, quite sumptuous texture. Very flattering and relatively subtle. (JR)

A light-bodied, picnic-styled Pauillac with soft, herb-tinged cherry fruit, this medium ruby-colored 2001 should be consumed over the next 5-6 years.

Oh dear. Pale for the vintage with marked acidity and greenness. Hard finish. (JR)
