Very good deep red. Exotic aromas of black plum, meat and smoke. Fresh on entry, then dominated by its structure and a bit clenched in the middle, with slightly medicinal flavors of licorice and menthol. Still, this youthfully tough wine possesses sweetness and fat in the style of the year. Showing substantial oak on the back today. Other Recommended Red Burgundies:
About the producer

Based south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999, grouping all of Jean-Claude Boisset’s holdings under one name. The property has a total 40 hectares of vines, with extensive holdings in Vougeot as well as plots in six Grands Crus.
