Tasting notes
Medium cherry-red color. A whiff of reduction quickly dissipated to show fruity aromas of strawberry, raspberry preserves and cherry, with some earth and minerals lurking. Juicy, dense and sappy; offers a creamy texture but with solid underlying spine. Not at all overly sweet. This rather backward example calls for at least five years of patience.

Good medium red. Spicy cherry and flowers on the aromatic nose. Sweet, minerally and pure, if a bit hardened by the recent sulfuring. Finishes with firm spine and very good length. This style of 2004 will require at least six or seven years of cellaring and should age very well.
