An elegant, light to medium-weight Bordeaux, the ruby/purple-colored 2002 offers sweet aromas of cherries, cranberries, and earth, medium body, very good concentration, nice sweetness and suppleness, but little depth or concentration. Drink it over the next decade.

Not direct on the nose; a bit smudgy. Lightweight. Acidity dominates. Chewy, too. Not quite enough fruit. Falls away. Better than my en primeur score of 14 though. (JR)
Deep, healthy crimson. Quite raw, unripe notes on the nose and then lots of acidity on the palate. Over-extracted wine that is trying to do something that's impossible with such underripe fruit. Hard work. And nasty rasping finish. (JR)
A pleasant red with plummy, chocolaty character, medium body and pleasant tannins. Slightly hollow but a good wine. Best after 2006. 4,400 cases made.James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2005
