Tasting notes
Tobacco, red and black fruits, and spiced oak define the classic character of the 2010 Domaine De L'Aurage. It's medium-bodied, focused, and nicely balanced, with still present tannins and another 10-15 years of overall longevity.

Deep garnet with bricky rim. Deliciously scented – lively dark-red and black fruit, a light toasty note like roasted plums and a touch of coffee, smells sweeter fruited than the 2009. On the palate it is more streamlined than I expected from the nose, seems lighter in body than the 2009 even though the alcohol is just as high. Fine, smooth texture and just a touch of chocolate on the finish. Much more upright and structured and still well balanced. Touch of heat on the finish. (JH)
19 ha on argile-calcaire slope, 10% Cabernet Franc, mainly Merlot. Very sweet and extreme. Élevage in Radoux. Very very sweet, thick and round and perfumed, extremely sweet! (JR)
