90% Syrah, 10% Viognier, granite soil, vines on average 25 years old, 35 hl/ha yield, total de-stemming, 2-3 week cuvaison in vats, 15 month maturation in barrel. Mid crimson. Sweet and oaky on the nose – too much oak!!! Nice smooth texture though… Bit frustrating because the fruit is obviously good. (JR)

(assembled for the bottling; this spent two years in 50% new barriques) Good bright medium ruby. Dark fruits, espresso and mace on the nose. Juicy but round and full; a step up in intensity and thrust from the cuvee classique. A nicely dense, smooth Cote-Rotie with good length. I'd hold this for a couple of years before pulling the cork.
