(Reh showed me this wine, as well as the Chambolle-Musigny Les Plantes and the Chambertin, in the cellar from barrel after we had tasted representative samples of the rest of her wines prepared in advance of my visit). Good medium red. Deeply pitched aromas of dark cherry, smoked meat and minerals, with herbal and gamey nuances. Slightly green and hard in the middle palate, with a leanness that leads to a noticeably dry finish. Seems a bit undernourished. (The Chambolle-Musigny Les Plantes was perfumed on the nose, with notes of maraschino cherry, medicinal herbs and red licorice, but was even more green and lean in the middle palate and dry on the finish; I scored it 84-86.)
