Blackish crimson. Floral nose. Smooth and easy verging on vapid. Fine. Some refreshment value but very tough tannins and by no means an lovely whole. (JR)

This is a commercial, mainstream, yet delicious St.-Emilion for enjoying during its first 7-10 years of life. Surprisingly soft for a wine from this vintage, but savory and rich with considerable volume and ripe, leather-tinged black cherry and currant fruit, this 2000 has soft tannin and up-front appeal.
