Tasting notes
The 2011 Vosne-Romanée Les Rouges is a model of total class and elegance. Weightless, airy and impeccable, the 2011 possesses gorgeous silkiness from start to finish. Freshly cut flowers, mint, tobacco and red cherries all waft from the glass in this delicate, at times, fleeting, Burgundy. This very pretty, sensual Burgundy should drink well pretty much right out of the gate. There is so much to admire here.

This is also reduced but it's sufficiently mild that spice and earth notes are visible. There is good punch and excellent detail with evident minerality to the silky yet cool and notably firm flavors that are supported by ripe acidity and a solid core of relatively refined tannins on the focused, long and delicious finish. This is excellent and one of the best renditions of this vineyard in 2011. Tasted: Jan 14, 2013. Drink: 2021+
