Tasting notes
Good dark red. Superripe aromas of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, licorice and spicecake; this reminded me of Napa Valley cabernet! Then creamy-sweet and rich, with vibrant flavors of black fruits and violet. Today, the wine's strong backbone is hidden by its flesh. The strong but thoroughly ripe tannins reach the front teeth. Finishes with terrific sappy persistence.

Bright, full ruby. Cassis, licorice and bitter chocolate on the nose. Sweet and silky but powerful, with superconcentrated, sappy fruit of almost candied ripeness. Already quite complex and wild, hinting at black fruits, spices, minerals and soil. From very old vines; the high percentage of millerande grapes led to a yield of just 28 hectoliters per hectare. This should be long-lived for the vintage.
