The 2011 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru has a stonier nose than the Griotte: a little smoky in style and demonstrating a tincture of stewed cold black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins exerting a gentle grip, quite tense but very poised with superb tension on the finish. It just needs a little more length. Aug 2013, www.robertparker.com
