The 1962 and 1959 Petrus were two of the finest bottles I have ever tasted of these vintages. The 1959 was unctuous, sweet, gloriously fruity, thick, and jammy, with gobs of glycerin, full body, and a viscous, long, heady finish. Fully mature, but revealing considerable intensity and life, this wine that will drink well for another 10-15 years. Feb 1996, www.robertparker.com
