Saturated ruby. Pungent, vibrant aromas of black cherry, game and mocha; this reminded me of Chateau Valandraud! Broad, sweet and fat but still rather closed and not yet as complex as on the nose; shows a juicy, syrah-like aspect. Surprisingly firm acidity for this parcel, along with strong tannins, gives this wine a powerful structure, which currently dominates the fruit.
