Score 91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2004
(this fruit used to go into GeantetÂ’s old-vines bottling) Full red-ruby. Slightly medicinal aromas of raspberry, minerals, smoke and licorice; very Gevrey. Creamy-sweet and rich in the mouth, with noteworthy depth of flavor. The longest yet of these 2002s, finishing with serious, ripe tannins. From vines planted in 1903!
