Slightly dull, dense pale crimson. Very fresh nose – almost as though there’s a little bit of Sauvignon in here? Definitely low-temperature vinification. Another example of very confident winemaking from the Pichon Baron team. Full bodied without being sweet. Very mouth-filling – for food rather than an aperitif. Lively and interesting. Definitely Médoc! (JR)
