Score 88/100 · Drink 2008-2019, Robert Parker, Jun 2007
Only the second offering from this microscopic estate, Clos Luoie’s vineyard includes some of the oldest vines in Bordeaux, a 150-year-old block of Merlot, Malbec, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The powerful 2004, which possesses 14.3% natural alcohol, possesses a dark ruby/purple color as well as aromas and flavors of blackberries, raspberries, incense, and spring flowers. Spicy and medium-bodied with a tannic finish, it will benefit from 1-2 years of bottle age, and should keep for 10-12 years.
