Score 88/100 · Robert Parker

A seductive offering from this Pomerol estate, which often turns out good, but monolithic wines, Lagrange’s 2001 exhibits a dark plum/ruby color along with a sweet, easy-going bouquet of truffles, melted licorice, dried herbs, black cherries, and plums. Medium-bodied, with soft tannin and good texture as well as weight, it should be consumed over the next decade. Wine Advocate.June, 2004
