Tasting notes
Healthy crimson, though not especially deep. Smells as though it's a cask sample. Interesting. Layers. Dense. Youthful. Good acidity. Chewy. Really savoury. Very slightly dissipated end. (JR)

This beautiful, dense garnet-colored 1997 Brunello's evolved, smoky nose offers up notes of sweet toasty oak intermixed with black currants, fruitcake, and fresh mushroom-like aromas. Meaty, with medium to full body, sweet tannin, flavors of underbrush, burning embers, and sweet currant as well as black cherry fruit, and a long, pure finish, this alluring effort will provide enjoyment for 10-14 years.
