Score 89-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jul 2006

Ripe aromas of peach and apricot. Fat, sweet and velvety, with noteworthy richness and concentration. Following the hailstorm in July, these vines were harvested late, with a yield of barely 30 hectoliters per hectare. With its silky texture and terrific breadth, this is currently hiding its sound acidity, which, at 4.2 grams per liter, is actually the highest in the cellar in 2005. Quite subtle on the back. I like this.
