Tasting notes
(tasted in tank, after the fining) Citrus peel and an almost metallic oyster shell minerality on the nose. Then richer and sweeter in the mouth than the nose would suggest, with strong acidity contributing an impression of power. This tightly coiled wine finishes with a whiplash of citrus and mineral flavors.

Restrained and citrussy and a little smoky, then much more happening on the palate – dense, nutty and firmly textured, with plenty of oak spice on the finish and a mineral streak right the way through. (JH)
Aromas of apple, honey and clove. Smooth and creamy in the mouth, with unusual sweetness and thickness for the vintage. Captivating flavors of apple, pear and white flowers. Finishes juicy and long, with lovely floral perfume. An excellent showing.
