2001 Rocks and Gravel

Dark red-ruby. Aromas of redcurrant, red cherry, sandalwood, pepper, smoked meat and leather. Then juicy, ripe and pliant in the mouth, with complex notes of red berries, game, leather and pepper. Has a sappy, Northern Rhone-like texture and juicy framing acidity. Finishes persistent and ripely tannic.
