Score 83/100 · Drink 1984, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
In the mediocre vintages of the fifties, sixties and early seventies, Latour frequently made the best wine in the Medoc. Not so in 1980. The wine is clearly well above average for the vintage, but lacks weight and richness. Fruity, charming, supple, with a pleasant fruitiness, it is slightly short on the palate. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 11/84.
