Tasting notes
Dark red. Medicinal nose hints at roasted herbs. Very ripe but with less intensity than the Gevrey; briary fruit and herbal flavors show modest sweetness and grip. Finishes a bit dry, with substantial dusty tannins.

The black cherry-scented, lush 2003 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes exhibits outstanding intensity of flavor, and reveals a sensual, black fruit-dominated character. Copious quantities of ripe tannin are found in its long, fruit-packed finish. Drink it between 2007 and 2015. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
Bright red-ruby. Musky, reduced aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, coffee and meat. Fat and musky in the mouth, with a high-pH feel despite holding substantial gas. Perhaps a bit less vibrant than the Gevrey villages
